Recently we visited Brattleboro, Vermont for an event we attended. It was our first time there and we took full advantage of what we could do in the downtown area while there for a limited time. Below are links to the places we visited and a few other recommendations..
Creamery Covered Bridge - built in 1879, historic
Stone Church -a renovated Victorian Gothic Church that hosts music shows.
Hermit Thrush Brewery - sour beers, try a few flights to sample them all.
Whetstone Brewery - great place on the river with a solid beer selection and creative comfort food.
The Works Cafe - great for breakfast or lunch.
Duo Restaurant - fresh farm-to-table food and great wine list!
Latchis hotel - historic art deco hotel with an old movie theater attached.
Other suggestions:
Brattleboro Food Co-op - for fresh food, lunch, etc.
Mocha Joe’s Cafe - for a quick cup of coffee
Shopping down main street is a treat - a little bit of everything for everyone - bead store to candles and kitchen and housewares, to clothing and three record stores.
